19 of the Russian's 21 titles have been won on hard surfaces
A comeback Medvedev claimed his first title for over two years with success over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
Medvedev, a former number one, has had a torrid season, managing just a single victory at the big events and undergoing a difficult moment at the American major.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and issues with his serving in especial - led to him dropping out of the top ten and ultimately splitting with long-time mentor Cervara.
Currently training with Johansson and his other coach, he has consistently advanced in the past month - culminating in a closely contested competitive victory over opponent Moutet.
This represents his first championship since the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard court since March of the previous year.
Victory also signifies he has secured 21 victories at 21 different events.
"It's the first time I have attended a tournament with my two daughters simultaneously, so to secure a trophy is particularly special," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my younger daughter Victoria, because the initial championship I won when my first daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his past six title deciders, comprising in Halle previously this season.
The player's counter-punching play style and recurring emotional displays on court had led observers to wonder if his capacity to play at the highest level was over.
Yet the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, making an effort to come to the net and perform positively, supported by an improved serve.
He fought back from a break down in the opening set against the challenging opponent, taking four of the last five games to go ahead.
Both players exchanged breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, striving for his initial tour title, gained dominance to create a final set.
Moutet defended four early break points in a competitive third set before Medvedev broke to fifteen to close out the victory.
Suitably, the winner clinched the title with a rally at the front of the court, with the Frenchman unable to control a volley after over two and a half hours.
